Oil of o’Plates

Oil of o’Plates.  Youth and Beauty is the theme of this cartoon.  Here we see Verta diligently applying her “stick-on growth plates” in the appropriate areas to help restore a youthful appearance.  The bones of children and teenagers still contain growth plates, or at least remnants of them — but they disappear once adulthood hits.  So it is only fitting that Verta wold use the spinal equivalent of Oil of Olay to look like a teen again.
