Copyright

My dad used to tell me that the © symbol made drawings look official.  So in the spirit of my dad’s wisdom, all of my Vert cartoons contain a copyright notice.  I decided to go one step further however, and register the copyright through the Library of Congress [although I found out later that the registration part doesn’t make one’s rights any more powerful  — all that is needed is the ©].  So, all of the Vert cartoons that you see in this book enjoy a resting place somewhere deep in the bowels of the Copyright Office of the United States Library of Congress.
