Blocked-Vert

Blocked-Vert = Vertebra that look like a “block.”  Sort of like the hemi-vertebra idea.  This is seen on x-ray.  Usually only a couple of segments are affected.  The segments, vertebrae, actually are fused together and thus look like a “block.”  Blocked vertebrae can happen at birth or may be the goal of a surgical procedure.
