Spinal Biomechanics

Spinal Biomechanics.  This panel plays off a double meaning.  The cartoon is obviously depicting mechanics working on a spine.  As chiropractors we study the mechanical properties of  spinal motion (known as “biomechanics”).  Note the drill that the short mechanic is holding — the “Foramener.”  A foramen is a medical word for a hole in a bone.
